A series of Anti-Semitic attack In Australia, arson attacks on Melbourne’s synagogues and violent attacks on Israeli-owned restaurants will terrify Jews in Australian cities and encourage staff to take action.
The first attack occurred when the attacker started a fire outside the exterior door of the East Melbourne Hebrew Conference. According to SBS News, around 20 worshippers were eating a Sabbath dinner inside. Police have not yet classified the incident as a terrorist attack.
Avi Yemini, chief reposer for Australia’s Rebel News Online, said the rapid response of the firefighters would not be destroyed by terrorist attacks, as yet another synagogue in the city remains unresolved, like the fire at the Adas Israel Synagogue last year.

Later that same night, around 20 masked extremists dined in horror at Israeli-owned restaurant Miznon. According to Jerusalem Postprotesters chanted “Death to the IDF (Israel Defence Force)” and threw chairs and glassware in the restaurant.
Yemen said the Fox News Digital protesters are “inducing absolute mayhem,” saying “it intensifies violence against customers and destroys property, and ultimately sends a horrible diner that runs for safety.”

One protester was arrested by Victoria police, but was released and issued a summons.

SBS News They also reported that Victoria Police are investigating the third incident. In the incident, criminals set fire to three vehicles, destroyed one, and spray painted nearby walls. The police commander refused to say whether the painting was anti-Semitic, but described all three incidents as including “anti-Semitic reasoning.”
Alex Ributin, Co-CEO of the Australian Jewish Executive Council (Ecaj), issued a statement on X, urging that “all aspects of politics and all Australians condemn these deplorable crimes.”
“The one who recites for death is not a peace activist. Those who burn prayer homes with their internal families are not seeking an end to the war,” Libchin said.
Focusing on “the violent ideology of workplaces in our country, operating on the boundaries of politics and social movements,” Libutin said, “The person responsible must or cannot be mitigated by the full power of the law.”

Yemini said Friday’s attacks showed how protesters were “encouraged.”
“Since October 7, Victoria Police have allowed anti-Israeli protesters to effectively hold hostages in Melbourne under government direction,” he said.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sarle also denounced the attack, saying “There were too many anti-Semitic attacks in Australia,” and urged the Australian government to “do more to combat this toxic disease.”
