- Ukrainian forces claimed an attack on Borisogrebuk Air Base in the Bolognez region of Russia, attacking the depot, which includes a glide bomb and a training aircraft. Russian officials did not immediately comment on the attack.
- Moscow mayor Sergei Sobianin said Russian air defenses had fired down four Ukrainian drones heading towards the Russian capital, forcing one of Moscow’s major airports to temporarily suspend outbound flights.
- This comes as the Russian Ministry of Defense said the air defense intercepted 48 Ukrainian drones in a period of just over five hours until Saturday evening, and further 45 were blocked during the day. Previously, the ministry said 94 drones had been destroyed in Russia overnight.
- In Ukraine, the air force said Russia fired 322 drones and decoys at the country overnight on Saturday. Of these, 157 were shot down, 135 were lost, and possibly clogged electronically.

- After speaking with Ukrainian President Voldymi Zelenki on Friday, US President Donald Trump said Ukraine needs patriot missiles to defend it. Trump also expressed his dissatisfaction with Russian President Vladimir Putin not ending the battle.
- Trump told reporters he was “very unhappy” about his previous call with Putin. “It seems he’s always wanting to go, he just keeps killing people… that’s not good. I wasn’t happy with it,” he said.
- In a post on X, Zelenskyy described his call with Trump as “very fruitful,” confirming that the pair “distanced about air defense.”
- “I’m grateful that I’m ready to support you,” Zelensky said. “The Patriot system is the key to protecting against ballistic threats.”
- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday strongly condemned Russia’s “major drone and missile attacks” in Ukraine, saying the attacks are “said to be the biggest war in more than three years.”
- Guterres also expressed alarms against “dangerous escalations and increased civilian casualties” and expressed concerns about disruption to the electricity of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
- Top Democrat MP Adam Smith has dismissed the Pentagon’s claims that favored the shipment of arms to Ukraine rather than low stockpiling.
