The Texas Family Helps Rescue a Woman Cling to a Tree for Hours in a Fatal Flood

One Texas family helped save the life of a woman who had been clung to a tree for hours as a fatal flash flood struck Kerr County over the weekend.

The family was able to ask for help, and eventually the Texas Troopers rescued the woman from a tree after hours of nightmares.
“There were multiple teams that featured,” Josh said. “We had a rescue for Swiftwater from Bernie, Texas, and the teams on which it was displayed, as well as the guards from Texas parks and wildlife games, and we were able to help rescue her by hand launching those boats into the water.”

Jeters invited the woman to her home after a tragic rescue. Carl said she was “shocked.”
“She was cut, hurt, bumped into trekking and the cold,” he said. “So we wrapped her in a blanket and a towel and took her home, which was dry because it was raining at the time.”

More than 50 people have been confirmed to have been killed in central Texas since flash floods began Friday, and authorities are still desperately searching for more disappearances.
