S&P 500 caps “Perfect” week with bigger tech revenues on tap
The S&P 500 was closed on Friday’s records. This is because the index marked the first time since November 2021 that it had reached its closing high every day in a week.
Market benchmarks rose 0.4%. The NASDAQ Composite rose 0.2%, closing its ninth record in 10 sessions. Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 208 points (0.5% (0.5%), ending its December 4th record.
The market has cruised throughout the revenue season over tariff concerns ahead of the August 1 deadline. The CBOE volatility index was just north of 15 and showed relatively low volatility.
