TCL QM8K Review: Best Midtier TV
Main methods How can TV tell you how old he is? Look at the bezel. Until about ten years ago, they were thick picture frames, but slowly they became smaller When the model is turned over. With the new QM8K QLED, TCL has completely removed them.
The innovation in panel design means that this dizzyingly bright screen appears to float in the universe of the pedestal mount. It’s a classy party trick and can be easily hidden on a wall with images and artwork.
This flagship model costs a significant penny more than TCL’s other value-first options, but that’s for good reason. It competes directly with Samsung and Sony’s more expensive mini LED models, and the fantastic viewing angle and brightness can even be performed for money on high-end OLED models. If you want it good Photos and great apps are available on more affordable Hisense or TCL models, but if you want great photos, this is the most affordable way of doing this year.

The experience of setting up the QM8K is basically the same as any other TV. The QM8K comes in a large cardboard box surrounded by foam, and they hope that the two will pull it out and place it on a soft surface like a bed or table with a blanket, and install the included pedestal mount. It comes with a power cable and a backlight (!) remote, but if you want to connect anything to one of the four ports (two HDMI 2.1, two HDMI 2.0), you will need to supply your own HDMI cable.
I’ve always loved TVs with pedestal mounts, and this mount is sturdy and easy to install. You can also tilt the TV. Similarly, it is included Google TV Interface It’s extremely easy to use with essentially QR-based logins for all modern streaming apps and quick swaps between apps (what I had issues with last year’s TCL model).
The TV supports Chromecast and Airplay 2. This makes cast music and YouTube clips extremely easy for those visiting and Wi-Fi. The TV has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support, allowing me to keep up with 4K streaming on my home mesh network. There is also Ethernet, but if you want to use hardwire at the fastest speed.
There is no bezel

If you’re not looking for it, the lack of bezels is not immediately noticeable, but TV brushed gunmetal frames now start to screen immediately after just 3.2 mm after having a 10 mm black rim. The gorgeous Crystal WHVA panels offer up to 3,040 local dimming zones (depending on the size of the TV you are purchasing).
