Mass shooting nightclubs at Türkiye and Caicos nightclubs kill three people and injured 10 people

Three people have died and 10 people have been injured after mass shooting erupted at a popular nightclub Turkish and Caicos Islands Early Sunday morning, attack officials were calling the first of its kind on British territory.
Royal Turkish Islands and Caicos Islands police said A shooting occurred On July 27th, before 3am, in Providencial’s hookah and cigar lounge. Investigators say no arrests had been made as of Tuesday, but at least four suspects were involved in the attack.
Police Commissioner Fitz Bailey described the incident as “deeply intrusive” in a statement. To the Associated Press.
At a press conference, Prime Minister Charles Washington Mythic linked the shootings to gang-related violence, noting that much of the activity appears to be concentrated in Haitian communities. He urged members of these communities to work with law enforcement to identify how illegal firearms are entering the country.

“What we are witnessing is unprecedented,” Mythic said. “This level of violence is not something we can forgive to be normal. This is not a situation we should accept. It is not a general situation and we do everything possible to engrave it.”
Authorities confirmed that 10 people were taken to hospital after the attack. Seven remained hospitalized with varying degrees of injury, while one is in serious condition. Two victims were airlifted abroad for advanced care, and local hospitals were locked down to secure the scene and protect the injured.
In a statement posted on the official Facebook page, Royal Turkish Islands and Caicos Islands police condemned the shooting and urged the public to support the investigation.

“This incident underscores the ability and willingness of criminals to commit serious violence against our citizens, residents and visitors,” the statement read. “The police are urging those with information to continue to partner with us to bring these offenders to justice.”
A $10,000 reward is provided for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Authorities have not yet identified any clear motivations.
Prime Minister Mythic reassured the public that the government is fully supporting law enforcement, and highlighted and resolved the importance of unity in the face of such violence.

“My government is 100% behind the police, and it’s important to do everything possible to stop the violence,” he said. “At the same time, I want to appeal to the general public not to panic. We must not retreat or cope with the faces of those who want to steal the good reputation of our island.”
The tragedy comes amid a new effort by the Turkish and Caicos governments to combat illegal immigration.
“Chase me,” Mythic added. “We’re now seeing gangland type murders. A lot of this. Gang violence It appears to be focused on Haitian communities. ”

An estimated 10,900 Haitians live in the Turkish and Caicos Islands, accounting for about a third of the total population, according to the United Nations Office of Humanitarianism. About 80% live in Providenciales, the most populous island on the territory, but only 20% have permanent residency.
“Let’s warn everyone about this: those who know something and don’t say anything, those who support criminals, those who commit crimes, and those who commit crimes,” Mythic warned. “This government is committed to ensuring that the Turkish and Caicos Islands remain safe places to live and raise their families.”
