Musk will speak at the JPMorgan event, which CEO Dimon attended, sources say

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been tasked with overseeing dramatic downsizing and reshaping the federal government by President Donald Trump, speaking at the JPMorgan Chase Conference on Thursday, He discussed his broad efforts to rebuild the government. He is well versed in the situation.

The meeting in Miami was attended by JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, and Mary Eldos, CEO of the Bank’s Assets and Wealth Management Business. According to sources, about 200 of JPMorgan’s biggest clients were present.

Musk took the stage with his mother Maye Musk for a conversation moderated by David Rubenstein, co-founder of private equity firm The Carlyle Group.

The conversation took up a wide range of topics, including the scope of work for the Ministry of Government Efficiency, where masks are at the forefront.

Doge has the goal of eliminating the entire federal agency and cutting down three-quarters of federal work.

JP Morgan declined to comment, but Musk and Carlyle did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Once enemies of a long-term legal battle, Dimon and Musk have settled their differences, the well-known Wall Street Bunker said in an interview last month.

The largest US lender sued Tesla in 2021, kicking off a fascinating conflict that was at least partially linked to Musk’s 2018 tweet. A few weeks later.

Tesla countered the bank in 2023, but both companies dropped their claims from each other in November.
