Texas Roadhouse faces complaints of Dei discrimination from legal organizations


Conservative legal groups have launched a civil rights complaint against the Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain, claiming it is illegally discriminating using diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), gender and racial demographic standards in employment practices.

Complaints submitted to Equal Employment Opportunity Committee America First Legal (AFL) accused Texas Roadhouse of tracking who should be appointed to the board, the race, gender and ethnicity of employees, and using it as a factor in determining that DEI policies would implement “reputation risks.” The AFL claims that the Texas Roadhouse violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

“The evidence shows that our employment, promotions and hiring practices violate state and federal laws. The evidence also shows that the company prioritizes illegal diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and policies over shareholder value,” the complaint alleges.

The complaint alleged that Cracker Barrel’s “business resource group” discriminates on the basis of race and gender by providing employment benefits only to workers who meet certain demographic standards.

Texas Roadhouse did not respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital.
