Missouri authorities are working to determine the identity of the person who died in the massive explosion of a home captured on camera.

“A strong explosion occurred in a detached house today,” the city of Gladstone said in a press release on Saturday.
The city said the cause of the explosion remains under investigation.

According to Desautels, the shockwave of the explosion was felt in multiple towns, adding that hundreds of reports were made outside the city’s sphere after the incident.

A voicemail sent by the city warned residents about plans to destroy the remaining property, according to screenshots shared by Hall.
“This is an urgent message,” Voicemail said. “As soon as the scene is released by the authorities, the city of Gladstone will soon begin demolishing its property and clean up the neighborhood.”
