A “psychedelic sleep party” fueled by ketamine that will bring technology executives back on track
We check with everyone to see if they have their consent to receive the medication from every part of our body. Our doctors and registered nurses then distribute the medication through the shot. It’s all intramuscularly.
If you’re new to ketamine and you’re nervous about it, thank God! That should be the case. However, there are also options that do not contain ketamine at all. You wanted to do that. Do that. ā
Ketamine and psychedelics are not panacea. We know it’s not for everyone. You don’t need to push yourself to perform this new, innovative, cutting-edge type of treatment. Yes, it’s very promising and the data has made this area very bubbled and enthusiastic over and over. But if you’re scared and worried, it’s completely fine. Listen to your body and mind.
As: As we move on our journey, we pull out the backjack.
SS: It’s quite sweet. They have small nests, small beds. They’re all pushed in. There are blankets and pillows, and if the ambient music played on the speaker gets too big, you’ll have earplugs. Ketamine is like a dissociative agent, so they wear something that stands out. This feeling naturally moves inward and there is a sense of quietness. There are plenty of stuffed animals that some people take for their journey.
As: There is this giant teddy bear carrying a cup of intramuscular ketamine.
We encourage clients to bring meaningful things, such as journals, photos of loved ones, photos of deceased loved ones, rocks, and more. It’s really loving, grounded and open.
SS: It’s like an executive coaching psychedelic sleeping party.
On the first day, we will give a psychological dose of ketamine. It’s not exactly a psychedelic dose, but it can allow you to just wobble in the area. The next day is a medium dose. The day is all about medication and integration, and there’s coaching around it.
As: The four of us promote offsite. We are all very attentive while people are on our ketamine journey. We communicate quietly with each other. Collectively, we really hold this space and see what will come into play. So, at this point, I’ve seen over 100 ketamine journeys.
SS: In a supportive clinical setting, the chances of bad travel are significantly reduced. I also have a belief that there is nothing like a bad trip. Rather, there is a challenging or unpleasant journey.
Let’s say someone else’s trauma is coming. One way you can appear is that you are screaming. Or, a lot of energy just tears your body. You get off your mat, so you just want to run. You’ll think you’re in a dangerous situation. The first thing we do is make sure you are on a safe hold, as you take care of it. Remove the eye mask. Some people need handheld or want to walk around the room. All of this will help you get back to the present.
The third day is all integration and coaching. “What does this mean to me? How did I feel? And how can I bring something positive into my daily life from that journey?”
As: And then about a week and a half later, we have a follow-up virtual integration session focusing on applying what they have learned in their leadership.
SS: One person could not feel his body. “I’m just my head and this is my bag of meat,” basically what they said. After offsite they said, “In fact, I feel I can feel my breasts. I can go somewhere else in my body and connect to it.”
As: People are floating at the end. They said, “I don’t want this to end. Can I integrate this into my life?”
