Former LSU Tigers gymnast Olivia Dunn It was opened up about the horrific injuries she suffered in her youth, which essentially shattered her dream of becoming an American Olympic athlete.

Dan explained “What’s your story? With Stephanie McMahon.” She suffered a catastrophic injury in 2018.
“I was actually competing with a wounded ankle at the 2018 USA Championship, and yeah, some of the ankle bones have passed away. … Yeah, it died. “It was a bit healed. It no longer bothered me. I went to college and it was so painful. It was like my first real injury.”
“I’ve never had surgery, this is my favorite part of gymnasts, and I think if I give myself time to heal, I can heal without surgery. But that’s something I’m proud of.

Dan was able to compete at LSU until the injury finally derailed her final year in the program.
She has been one of the most followed athletes on social media since joining LSU. She boasts over 8 million followers on Tiktok and an additional 5.4 million on Instagram. She led the Tigers to the national championship in 2024, but she got off track in her final year with LSU due to injuries.
