It remains within a week MLB Trade deadlines have passed, teams spin the phones and players are waiting for fate for the rest of the 2025 season and beyond.

but, Boston Red Sox Manager Alex Cora doesn’t want his players to believe everything they hear or read. He singled out one outlet in particular.

“Talking about ESPN in the Green Room, how people made it — you know, you can tell us trade,” Cora told reporters on Sunday. “And you can say I don’t believe everything that they are told, do you know?”
Cora recognizes that trade deadline rumours are something fans want to see as the team is trying to make their teams better or ahead of the future by dealing with top talent in future assets.

“You’re on any social platform. If you’re looking for baseball, your feed will be filled with baseball stories, right?” Kora continued. “And there are a lot of people who are very responsible for their transactions, their rumours, their contacts, others aren’t.
A source familiar with the issue told Fox News Digital that ESPN supports the report, but it was not clear that Cora, who left the company nearly a decade ago, joined the event, was on board. Houston Astros‘The coaching staff mentioned.

“I got the story, man. I don’t want to bury people,” Kora said when reporters asked who they were referring to on ESPN.
Cora considers 14 seasons to be one of the MLBs and understands how strict the trade deadline is from a player’s perspective.
The Red Sox are one of those teams with a rabies fan base that is constantly watching what they do at this time of the year. Also, one of the top trade names is Jarren Duran, the team’s All-Star outfielder who can move before 6pm on Thursday.

However, Boston is currently in a good playoff position from the tough 57-50 Al East division. They own the second wildcard slot in the American League just behind their division rivals, the New York Yankees.
