Amazon expands rural delivery with $4 billion for next-day, next-day delivery

Amazon, the leading e-commerce company By 2026, it will triple the size of its delivery network by more than $4 billion, with a focus on expanding delivery services in rural America.
Tens of millions of U.S. customers in over 4,000 small cities, towns and rural communities will have access to same-day and next-day delivery by the end of the year, the company announced Tuesday. According to Amazon, once the company’s expansion is complete, it will be able to deliver over 1 billion packages each year to customers living in over 1.2 million square miles of ZIP codes.
Both Amazon and Walmart have increased delivery capabilities, including drone use. Earlier this month, Walmart announced it would expand its drone distribution service to three more states, and it would first expand its drone service on Google’s wing across five states.
