Anderson Cooper shows Colbert’s support after CBS cancels “Late Show”

CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper appeared to support CBS’s “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert It appeared in a segment targeting the “60 Minute” parent company and President Donald Trump on Monday night.

Among the others was Cooper, who was also a “60 Minute” correspondent for CBS News.

The celebrity-filled segment was characterized by “straitsy al” Jankovich and Lynn Manuel Miranda “encouraging people” to perform Colbert’s “Viva La Vida” in the news that Colbert would be cancelled soon. Cooper was shown looking at his cell phone as Andy Cohen, the Bravo host, sitting next to him. Cohen then leaned down to kiss Cooper, expressing his distrust from the CNN anchor.

Colbert concluded the segment by taking more shots at Paramount, chuckling CBS for chasing the show’s looming cancellation into a financial decision. The “Late Show” is reportedly reported CBS loses $40 million a year.
It was a light segment, but Cooper’s involvement is worth noting as he enjoyed both the parent of the CBS News company that controls “60 minutes” and Trump, where Cooper is tasked with covering CNN.
According to IMDB, Cooper appeared as a guest in the other 20 eras.
CBS News and CNN did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
