Democrat King Angus III, son of the US Senator Angus King JuniorI-Maine has announced the bid for the governor of Maine.

His father previously served as governor from early 1995 to early 2003. US Senate Since early 2013.

Current Maine Governor Janet Mills is a Democrat who currently serves for two consecutive terms and may not run again in 2026.
Main Constitution It states that “an individual who has served two popular, elective four-year terms as governor for two consecutive years is not entitled to succeed themselves.”
