Anthony Jarrdo vs. David Benavidez: Trainer Tunde Ajayi dismisses £175 power concerns

Anthony Yardo trainer Tande Ajay doesn’t believe in David Benavidez’s absence of knockouts, as moving to 175 is a signal that he can’t punch in the light heavyweight division. He points out that he faces better opposition than those who fought in 168.

Benavidez’s final seven knockouts

– David Lemiuux
– Demetrius Andrade: 35 And past his prime
– Kiron Davis
– Ronald Ellis
– Romer Alexis Anglo
– Anthony Dirrell
– J’Leon Love

That’s not an impressive list. Most of them were journeymen, and in the mid-30s when Benavidez fought them, two former world champions, Dirrell and Andrade, were old.

Yarde (27-3, 24 Kos) will take on WBC light heavyweight title Benavidez (30-0, 24 Kos) held at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 22nd. The fight will be shown live in Dazn PPV.

Benavidez knockout drought

“If you look at the knockout ratio of a particular person, knockout depends on who is standing in front of you,” Tande Ajay said. Professional boxing fansince moving to 175, it is a sign that his power has not been lifted from 168 when David Benavidez was asked about his lack of knockout.

It is clear that Benavides’s power has not been handed over from 168. The absence of knockouts in two fights at light heavyweight with Olexandr Gvozig and David Morell is not just because he has finally faced a talented man. His power is not the same as when he fought 175 and 168.

“Looking at Deontay Wilder, he couldn’t knock out Tyson Fury, but he had a higher knockout rate than Tyson.

Ajayi: High IQ fight

“Anthony’s fight with Bettervief was the most difficult battle Bettervief had ever had. That world showed the great IQ of the world yard in boxing. David Benavides said neither of these punchers were the type to come in and knock people out.

Yard did an incredible job against Altul Betterbiev. If he wasn’t tired, he would have knocked him out as he hurt him a few times with a left hook.

Benavides’ habit of crowding enemies with volume focus on the yard leaves him open to the left hook. If the “Mexican monster” chooses to use that approach, he will be cut off. It would be harder to recover from a knockdown against Yardo than he fought David Morell last February. Yard immediately attacks him and tries to finish him. Morel dropped Benavides and retreated, and fired surprisingly into the rope. It was strange.
