Apple’s Big OS Rebrand, OnePlus, embraces AI and Samsung’s next crease.

I’m confused about Apple’s Naming convention? You’re not the only one. Bloomberg Report this year WWDCApple plans to announce a wide range of overhauls for all operating systems. That includes renaming it to make it more consistent. Starting this year, Apple is reportedly going to start talking about each OS version of each product year, not the version. Confusingly, it starts with Next 2019, not this year (like a car). So, the versions that will be displayed in WWDC this year will be iOS 26, Watchos 26, etc. instead of iOS 19 and Watchos 12.

The move reportedly is part of a bigger push to a cohesive user experience across the platform. The overhaul could include everything, including updated icons, apps, buttons, fresh design languages, and is expected to be universal across all operating systems. Apple’s fundamentally simple and attractive user interface is a core part of the company’s DNA, so it will be interesting to see how customers respond to major redesigns (hopefully better than redesigning Apple’s photos). When called Pulasky, you can customize it to trigger certain apps and shortcuts on your phone using an interface that looks roughly similar to Apple’s action buttons. By default, it launches AI Plus Mind. This is a system that stores what is on the screen, so you can remember it later. The idea is when you view a concert ads while browsing or press an event invitation, pressing the Plus key will save relevant information in the companion app, and the app will extract useful information and create calendar events.

Plus Key and Ai Plus Mind will debut first on the OnePlus 13s, which will be released at Select Market this June. It’s not coming to the US. Later this year, AI features will be rolled out to the OnePlus 13 series, followed by other devices. OnePlus says it is actively working on more features such as the AI VoicesScribe, recording, summarizing and translating calls and meetings. AI Translation, integrates all translation features into one app. The AI then reconfigures to adjust the configuration of the shots with the generated AI.
