Apple’s Global Close Your Rings Day is tomorrow. Here’s how to get limited edition pins

The three activity rings on the Apple Watch are: Stand (blue), Move (red), and Move (green). They can be customized to suit each person’s lifestyle. The stand shows how many times you have been standing and moving for at least one minute per hour during the day, but the movement shows how many active calories you burn. Exercises track how much active you have done.

Close all three activity rings on April 24th to win a limited edition award for animation badges that can be used with 10 animated stickers and messages. With the announcement of Global Close Your Rings Day, Apple shared insights from the Apple Heart and Movement Study. Using data contributed by more than 140,000 participants, Apple determined that most people who close their activity are 48% less likely to experience it. Low quality of sleep73% are less likely to experience an increase in resting heart rate levels and 57% less likely to report an increase in stress measured on a perceived stress scale. This data was consistent across both males and females and across all age groups. The Apple Heart and Movement research was conducted in collaboration with the American Heart Association and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. This includes more than 200,000 participants across the United States.
