AQR Capital Management’s post Q1 will return to nearly 10% with some funds, according to sources


LONDON (Reuters) – Billionaire investor Cliff Ashanes’ AQR Capital Management has finished the first quarter with positive returns on some of its funds, a source familiar with the issue on Tuesday said.

The $128 billion hedge fund finished with a 9% first quarter return with its multi-strategic fund Apex Strategy in March, giving it a performance of 3.4%.

The fund posted a quarterly return of 9.7% on the AQR Delphi Long-Short Equity strategy, with a positive 2.3% in March. AQR’s Managed Futures Full Strategy recorded a quarterly return of 8.2% and a 2.5% return in March.

The helix strategy of hedge funds used trend follow in a diverse set of diverse access markets, with a performance of 3% in March at 4.4%.
