Arizona authorities provided dramatic rescue after a woman who went on a hike with her father went Missing for 3 days.
Coconino County officials responded to reports of a woman who went missing from an area campsite Known as the “Earth of the World” Friday, June 13th, around 10:30pm. Janelle Banda, 32, was believed to have left the campsite and descended a nearby canyon, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s search and rescue team quickly began a search for Banda “including an evening descent into the canyon,” but despite efforts from June 13, they did not find the missing woman that night and continued their search with support from other agencies over the weekend.

Monday, Sheriff’s search and rescue team We descended again into the canyon and successfully entered the banda around noon.
“It turns out she’s dehydrated and suffers from minor injuries,” the sheriff’s office said.

Banda was hiking with her father when his father disappeared from the campsite for unknown reasons, her sister, Sara Banda, said Fox 10 Phoenix.

“Even when we feel the lowest and right, is it right, usually by the end of the day you feel it? And we know she’s alone, but we’ll find her wherever she is,” Sarah told the outlet.
Now, Banda’s family is focusing on her recovery and is grateful to those who helped her find her, her sister told Fox 10.
