Arslanbek Makhmudov Thanks to Dave Allen for the Battle of October 11th: Gateway to Wilder or Joshua?
Arslanbek Makhmudov says he is grateful that British heavyweight Dave Allen chose him as his 12-round headlining opponent at Dazn on October 11th. Allen (24-7-2, 19 Kos) chose the impressive 6’6” Makhmudov (20-2, 19 Kos) from his list of five opponents’ fighters.
The road to Wilder or Joshua
Promoter Eddie Hearn says if Allen beats Arslanbeck, his next fight will be with Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua. Therefore, this battle has led to many crisis in Allen, 33. It’s a massive late payday for Allen to fight Joshua. Who would have thought that Ham and Eggers like Allen were on the verge of getting a chance to fight AJ?
There is still much to ask “White Sisters” to separate Mahmudov’s upset. Defeating a domestic-level fighter like Johnny Fisher is one thing, but doing that against Mahmudov is another thing. The most likely outcome of this fight is that he won a bulldozer in two or three rounds by the Big Russian on October 11th.
