Asus Zenbook A14 Review: Ultra-lightweight Laptop

The A14 can only be used in one configuration with dark grey: Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) CPU with 32 GB of RAM and 1-TB SSD. The 14-inch screen (Nontouch) has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The ports include two USB-C jacks with USB 4.0, one USB-A 3.2 port, and a full-size HDMI jack. One of the USB-C ports is used for charging.

Average performance

All of these specs are entry-level for laptops of this pedigree, but it’s the CPU that draws some attention. The Snapdragon X is Qualcomm’s latest microprocessor, the cheapest and most powerful one, and the dialback version of the Snapdragon X Plus, which I feel is already in use.

The good news is that the Snapdragon X-equipped A14 isn’t much different from the laptops on the Snapdragon X Plus. The bad news is that the performance isn’t that impressive and all these laptops (including the A14) tend to drag a bit. If you’re browsing the web and entering emails, it’s not the end of the world, but it’s great that this extremely tall machine boasts a bit of power. The A14 is especially slow when it comes to graphics and video performance, and buyers should not dream of using it for creative work. Fortunately, Qualcomm has advanced software compatibility in recent months, with previously unusable apps like Google Drive now working fine.

ASUS has specified a whopping 32 hours of maximum battery life on this device, and did not approach that level in full screen full gaze, YouTube playback tests, but it was able to be uninterrupted for more than 20 hours. Ta. Running time. (I tested this twice just to ensure this.) You could extend it even further by turning off Wi-Fi and dialing down the brightness – this is dial-up Although sometimes solid, even in 20 hours “just” the car is record breaking on the longevity front.

The audio is better than expected, is surprisingly rich and produces plenty of sounds. It is helped by a dead silent machine. There are fans inside the A14, but I never set them on fire. The keyboard has plenty of action and the trackpad is spacious, but the trackpad doesn’t get overwhelmingly big.
