On Monday, authorities released social media photos of the suspect Idaho firefighter shooting They then identified firefighters who were killed and injured in an ambush.
The suspect, 20-year-old Wes Rory, was seen in a photo posted on his Instagram story wearing black face paint and camouflage clothes that fired his waist, authorities shared at a press conference.
According to Cootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris, Rory, who was found dead near the attack hours after the attack, killing two firefighters and wounding another, is believed to have killed him himself.
The firefighter victims of the attack were identified at a press conference. Frank Harwood and John Morrison have been killed, while Dave Tisdale is hospitalized in stable condition.

The suspect is believed to have deliberately set a brush on Canfield Mountain near Coeur d’Arane, Idaho on Sunday, and is seduced by the first responder who arrives to put out the flames. The suspect was found to be in possession of a Flint starter that Norris said was believed to be used to light the fire on Monday.
Firefighters responded to the flames around 1:30pm, and gunshots were reported about 30 minutes later.
Audio from the scene said there was a “emergency” and a “active shooter in the fire.”
“We need law enforcement here soon,” the firefighter told the dispatcher, adding that “we had two battalions chiefs.”
“We have another Core Darene firefighter… We have two unresponsive battalion chiefs, multiple gunshot wounds, two Coe Darene down… I’m stuck,” the caller continued.
The caller also said the fire was “deliberately set to attract us.”
“It’s clear that this fire is purposefully set to attract us,” the caller said.

Idaho Gov. Brad condemned the incident as a “sincere direct attack on our brave firefighters” and pledged full state support for the investigation.
“They answered calls to protect others and paid the ultimate price,” Little said.
The motivation behind Rory’s actions remains unknown, and Norris said Monday that no manifesto was found. Federal authorities, including the FBI, are helping with the investigation.
“We have the information that he once wanted to be a firefighter,” Norris said. “So I don’t know if there is any connection to that desire. And what happened yesterday.“
