Bayern picks up a big victory, but Milan loses
Four more games were on the cards on Wednesday after Real Madrid found action for the Frantic Champions League against Manchester City.
Belgian side club Bruges hosted Serie A side and Europa League owner Atalanta, while Scottish Champions Celtic welcomed Harry Kane and Bayern Munich to Glasgow.
The Dutch Giants Fayenord faced AC Milan, with Monaco facing Benfica.
And there were a lot of goals, drama and controversy to set some tasty second leg when the team bid on the last 16 locations.

Club Bruges secured a 2-1 victory over Atalanta thanks to a late penalty from Gustav Nilsson.
The Belgian side began brightly, rewarding when Ferran Jutta took advantage of Chemshin Tarbi’s looming work in the 15th minute and finished past Louis Patricio.
Atalanta struggled early on, but gradually grew into a game and found an equalizer in the 41st minute. Mario Pasaric skillfully looked at the header into the net after a pinpoint cross from Davide Zappacosta.
The second half was an incident with Cager, creating a better opportunity despite not being in the fluent.
Lazar Samardzic and Zappacosta both approached giving the visitors a lead, but Simon Mignolet was stuck with the goal of Club Bruges. The game appeared to be heading for a draw until the time of injury when Nilsson fell under an aviation challenge from Isaac Hien.
Despite furious protests from Atalanta players, Val supported the referee’s decision, and Nilsson confidently gave the penalty advantage to hand club Bruges.
As a result, the Belgian side will give Bergamo a narrow lead before Game 2. There, Atalanta began to overturn the deficit.

Celtic performed well, but ultimately fell to a 2-1 defeat against Bayern Munich at Celtic Park.
The visitors dominated the first half, registering five shots on anyone at Celtic, and defeating the deadlock on a halftime stroke as Michael Oris fired a spectacular strike after the lucky Ricochet.
Bayern doubled their advantage early in the second half through Harry Kane, who volleyed from Joshua Kimic’s corner in the 49th minute.
The German side could have seen the control and increased their lead, but the Celts refused to surrender and as it progressed it grew into the game.
An energetic slow push from the host was rewarded when Daizen Maeda nodded from close range 79 minutes after Hyun-Jun Yang kept the ball alive from the corner.
Celtic continued the press, and Alistair Johnston forced a sharp save from Manuel Neuer in halt time, but Bayern held the victory.
The Brendan Rogers men prepare to face Dundee United on Saturday before heading to the Allianz Arena next Tuesday, so they’ll be encouraging them from their late rally.

Feyenoord secured a key 1-0 victory against AC Milan in the first leg of De Kuip.
Igor Paicau’s early strikes proved decisive as the hosts claimed a fierce battle victory over the seven-time European champions.
The Dutch got off to a dream start, taking the lead within three minutes, and Pykuo cut the inside from the left and fired an angled shot with Milan goalkeeper Mike Meignan wearing much more gloves.
Paixao rattles the crossbar from afar, and Feyenoord almost doubles before the break.
Milan has a tough time breaking the defense of the disciplined home despite the offensive lineup featuring Christian Purisic and former Fayenoford striker Santiago Guimenez I did.
Milan’s frustration continued in the second half, coming closest to Tijani Reyjunders when his well-hitted volley set sail just above the bar.
Rossonelli didn’t generate sustained pressure and only recorded two shots on the target during the match. Meanwhile, Feynord remained dangerous at the counter, with both Ayazeuda and Hajj Massa threatening Mainyan’s target.
A later replacement led Milan to introduce 16-year-old Francesco Camalda, but visitors lacked cutting edge to find an equalizer. Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther has comfortably dealt with Milan’s late set-piece opportunities, ensuring that Rotterdam side has taken a key lead in San Siro’s second leg.

Benfica secured a key advantage ahead of Lisbon’s return leg with a 1-0 away victory over Monaco.
Despite both sides creating opportunities, the first half was firmly contested and ended goalless. Carrera in Benfica was closest to the visitors, while Gorobin in Monaco tested Trubin from range.
The game exploded shortly after the restart when Benfica defeated the deadlock in the 48th minute. Vangelis Pavlidis competed for Araujo’s through-ball and shrugged Salisu’s challenge before shaking Majecki’s exquisite finish.
The night in Monaco quickly got worse when Al Musrati received his second yellow card for the opposition just four minutes later, causing the host to fight ten men.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Monaco had a great opportunity to pass through Zakaria, but his tame efforts were easily collected by Trubin.
When the final whistle was blown away, Benfica celebrated the fierce battle victory and placed them in a strong position for the second game. However, Monaco remains a tie and tries to create a lively response in Lisbon.
