Biden admits to keeping Afghan documents classified for the posterity of leaked audio

“So there are a lot of things I think are fundamentally changing how the international community works, and they are related to a lot of technology.”
After the 80-year-old continued on the subject for a while, Har paused him and returned to the topic of the document.
“No, sorry, that’s why I wanted it,” Biden replied. “There was nothing in Afghanistan.”
One of the former president’s lawyers then suspended Har to say “for the purposes of a clean record,” and wanted to avoid “entering a speculative area.”
At that point, Har replied, “I think we should take a break.”

In other sections of the audio, Biden appears confused, asking what year his son, Beau Biden died and the year he left Vice President.
Audio related to an investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents came out after more than a year of lawmakers demanded their release amid questions about the memory and spirituality of the former president.
The House Judiciary Committee sued Attorney General Merrick Garland for audio recordings in July, highlighting the importance of “oral and nonverbal contexts” in Biden’s answers that can be provided by audio recordings. “A sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man who has bad memories.”
