Bill Haney rings: Terrence Crawford beat Canelo Alvarez to “bloody pulp” on September 13th
Bill Haney sounded like the guy in Terrence Crawford’s personal hype today, yelling that he’d beat Canelo Alvarez to “bloody pulp” in Las Vegas on September 13th.
Bill Haney’s Canelo Prediction
The way Bill was screaming and looking at it suggests that the wheels were spinning in his head, as he was thinking about the battle between Bud and his son Devin Haney. If Bill can enter Crawford’s good bounty, he may throw a bone at Devin and give him a fight. After the last two shows with Jose Ramirez and Ryan Garcia, Haney is in trouble.
If Crawford (41-0, 31 KO) looks in his direction after fighting Canelo and his uncontroversial super middleweight championship, it would be a big payday for Devin. With the exception of Teofimo Lopez, there will not be many pay fights for Haney in 147, potentially if he gained weight.
He has already turned down the fight. If the old wolf bill can hust the fight against Terrence for Devin, he will get more than the $10 million he earned to fight Jose Ramirez at New York’s Times Square Card last May.
Crawford, 37, needs all the help he can defeat Canelo. He has raised two divisions after an inactive performance against Isler Madrimov at 154. He was the lucky Turki Aralsuk who was interested in him.
