Stand-up comedian Bobby Lee said over the weekend that he believes he was cut from “Sex and the City” A spinoff to remove orientation from the series.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW) In San Diego Comics-2025, Lee theorized that he didn’t return to the third season of “And so…” as the producers were aiming to remove more “awakening elements” of the show.
“Some of the awakening elements of the show, they removed and I think I was part of it. I don’t think Sarah (Ramirez) came back.
The comedian says American pride is back: “I feel like there’s a president who puts America first.”

“They tried to put in the minority, but I don’t know. I’ve never seen the show,” he added.
Lee played Jackieney, co-host of Carrie Bradshaw’s podcast, for the first two seasons of the HBO MAX series. At the end of the second season, Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, left a podcast to focus on writing her novel. Her team of colleagues did not return for the follow-up season.
HBO Media Relations Director Erintresco challenged Lee’s theory that he was a victim of a woken cut. She told Fox News Digital that Lee left the show “Carrie no longer hosts a podcast and instead focused on her novels, so the story of the characters involved in the podcast came to a conclusion.”
The comedian only had good things to talk about Parker and his former castmates. “Sarah Jessica Parker is the loveliest person I’ve ever met. She felt safe with me. I liked everyone there. It was fun.

Lee, former star madtv’sthe stand-up comedian and popular podcaster told EW he doesn’t really understand why he got the role of “And that’s how…” in the first place.
“No. 1, I don’t even know why they asked,” he said. “And I was so scared to do that because it wasn’t my brand. Do you really know what I mean?
Critics pointed out When it debuted on the HBO streaming platform in 2021, it was an awakening element of follow-up to “Sex and the City.”

At the time, Guardian critic Lucy Mangan wrote that the onslaught of show’s “awakening” teachings lends the show an original self-condition rather than a sarcastic air of self-awareness. This does nothing to sing like the original.
The New York Times also suggests that they are skewering and pandaling the show’s awakened theme.
Outlet TV critic James Ponieuzik wrote in 2021 that the series’ “diverse newcomers” “does not pass the racial Bekdel test.” They exist in relation to the central trio, reassuring them and us that we are working hard. ”
