Borussia Dortmund wins, but job booking eliminates conflict with his brother Jude
Despite Borussia Dortmund setting up a meeting with Real Madrid, there have been no clashes between the Bellingham brothers at the Club World Cup.
Dortmund beat Monterrey 2-1 with a 16 tie in Atlanta, but the younger brother, Job, is shown his second yellow card of the tournament for a first half tackle by Nelson Deossa, and is stopped in the quarterfinals with the Madrid side featuring brother Jude.
The job was halftime and was notified that if Dortmund advanced he would miss the next match.
German Berterame pulled one back for Monterrey, but the Mexican side couldn’t find an equalizer.

Disappointment for the job
“I think we all saw him (the job) being extremely disappointed,” said Dortmund boss Nico Kobak.
“He didn’t know exactly that the second yellow card was halftime suspension, and he was a bit surprised.
“He is young and his brother is young, so I am sure they are facing each other.
“The club’s World Cup would be good, but it’s not now. Someone else has to play for him, but it’s fine.”
We performed – Kobak
The final eight feature two German teams, Dortmund and Bayern Munich, and Kovac believes it is important for the Bundesliga to play on the biggest stage.
“We’re happy. I think we performed too much. We went through the group stage,” Kobak said.
“This is a bonus for us and now it’s a good challenge to play against the biggest team in the world and the biggest club in the world.
“For us, for Borussia Dortmund and for Germany’s football as a whole, I think this is a big deal.”

Ramos denied a chance to face Real Madrid
Dortmund’s victory marked another potential reunion between Madrid and former defender Sergio Ramos.
However, Ramos, who was almost behind and equalized by a header that flashed past the post, was pleased with Monterrey’s efforts.
He told Dazen:
“Our supporters, I think they are proud of the way we defended the shirt. We have to keep moving forward.”
