Bowen Yang says, “The View.” He didn’t want to play Vance on SNL


Saturday Night Live Cast Bowen’s members On “The View” on Thursday, he felt that somebody would be better at playing JD Vance in a live sketch comedy show than he was, and jokingly called him the “pope killer.”

“Is it true that you didn’t want to play JD Vance on the show?” co-host Sarah Haynes asked Yang.

The SNL cast member replied, “I just thought there were better people out there for that.”

“It worked, and it was my con man syndrome. I seemed to have someone better in this,” Yang added. “I had to work with the accent coach and get it with an accent between Ohio and Appalachia. That’s difficult.”

The co-host told Yang that he “naked it” before he joked. “Look, the man is a Pope Killer.”

As Behar added, the audience and co-hosts chuckled.

Vance visited with Pope Francis On Easter Sunday at the Vatican, a day before he passed away. The liberal memes joke about Vance Bears’ responsibility for his death.

Haynes also asked about other headline-worthy moments at recent times, including the country star Morgan Warren has left the stage After thanking host Mikey Madison for being a musical guest.

“Nothing happened that we knew, but we then got a great meme phrase: “Take me into the kingdom of God.” I think we can all use it now,” Bowen said. After being sent off the stage, Warren told his followers he was excited to go home, posting an Instagram story he read, “Get Me To God’s Country.”

Haynes also asked Yang about his reaction to SNL skit, where “White Lotus” actress Amy Lou Wood enjoyed her front teeth. Yang said that she and the show make peace and that they are “big fans of her” and sometimes comedy can go too far for someone to chuckle.
