Boxing Results: Bruce Carrington seizes provisional WBC featherweight title in tactical battle with Mateus Haita

Bruce Carrington (16-0, 9 KOS) used his boxing skills to beat heavy hand matteus Haita (14-1, 9 KOS) and won a 12-round unanimous decision to win the WBC interim featherweight title Saturday night at Madison Square Garden Theatre in New York City.

Carrington, 28, thought it was better than brawling with the more powerful Haita, and chose to stick and move all night. He worked perfectly to win a wide range of decisions with scores of 119-109, 119-109 and 120-108.
