Boxing Results: Winning in Red: Technical Decision of Jack Qatar’s Fierce Battle over Harlem Eubank


Jack Qatar (31-2, 13 KOS) won the seven-round technical decision as he received a bad cut from a head clash with IBF welterweight champion Harlem Eubank (21-1, 9 KOs) at Manchester Arena, England on Saturday night. The fight was stopped one second after the seventh round, with advice from the ringside doctor.

In the first three rounds, Catterall was nearby as it had edges. In the fourth round, Eubank had the best round and it was a close fight.

In the sixth round, both went to the second canvas. With 30 minutes left, a head collision caused a nasty cut in Catalore’s right brow. Eubank had a small cut on his forehead.

Referee Williams finally came when Eubank hit a Catterall in the back of his head. Catterall went to the corner, where his cornerman placed a towel on the cut as umpire Williams let him continue. Soon Catterall threw Eubanks onto the canvas. Ultimately, Yubanks felt he had won the battle and jumped up to the ropes at the corner.

During the round, the Ring doctor checked the Catterall cut. After the seventh start, referee Bob Williams called for a halt.

The scores were 69-65, 69-66, and 69-66.

In Chief Support, former Olympian and IBF in 2016, as well as IBO super featherweight world champion Joe Cordina (18, 9 KOS) defeated Jaret Gonzalez (17-2, 13 KOs) with a 10-round unanimous decision to win a match for the 10-round WBO Global Lightweight Title.

In the first round, Cordina returned from his first defeat and 14 months of inactivity in his final battle. He controlled the first round, but Gonzalez held himself. In the final minute of the second round, Cordina rocked Gonzalez with her chin rights.

In the third and fourth rounds, Cordina continued to win in all four rounds, shutting out the tough Gonzalez. On the final minute of the fifth and final minutes, Gonzalez landed a gust of punches. By the end of the round, Cordina had pulled it out.

In the final seconds of the seventh round, a right uppercut from Cordina to the center hurt Gonzalez. One of the commentators was introduced as Gonzalez, and although he introduced Gonzalez on screen, he continued to say Quiroz.

In the eighth and ninth, Cordina continued to win, but Gonzalez proved to be a good opponent for Cordina in the first 10-man round.

Scores were 100-90, 99-91, and 98-92. Marcus McDonald was a judge.

The lightweight AQIB Fiaz (14-1, 2 KOS) defeated Alex Murphy (13-2) with a 10-round unanimous decision in an action-packed battle.

In the first round, it was all action. In the second round, Fias kept pushing Murphy. Murphy retorted him. In the third round, Murphy landed on the right, causing a cut under Fias’ left eye in the final minute.

In the fourth round, Fias hurts Murphy in the final minute with a body shot, and Murphy just counts on his own body shot, which went back and forth. In the sixth round, Murphy’s right uppercut and jab worked all the time. At the very end, Fiaz often landed on the combination and left hook.

In the seventh round, in the final minute, Murphy took the offensive and moved around the ring to score well against Fias. In the ninth round, Fies appears to continue working his body as Murphy’s reach benefits him as Murphy’s reach benefits, but the draw won’t surprise anyone.

In the final round of the 10th, both continued to loosen it up just like they did in the first round. Fias makes it difficult to call a judge by rebutting his body and Murphy.

The two then discussed each other and awaited their decision. Fias takes it to his surprise.

Scores were 97-93, 96-94, and 96-95. Steve Gray was a judge.

Heavyweight Pat Brown (3-0, 3 Kos) stopped Lewis Oakford (6-3, 2 Kos) at the first 2:06 of the scheduled eighth round.

In the first round, everything was brown, and Oakford was so hurt in the final minute that he called on Judge John Latham to stop.

Junior middleweight Southpaw William Krolla (8-1, 6 KOs) was knocked out by Southpaw Fraser Wilkinson (12-2, 3 KOs) at 1:07 in the sixth in the eighth round.

In the fifth round, Wilkinson dropped Chlora from umpire John Latham for an eight count.

Super Bantamweight Sky Nicholson (13-1, 2 KOS) knocked out Cara “La Princesa” Camila Campos Gonzalez (9-4, 8 KOS) at 1:21 in the second round of the scheduled 8×2 round.

In the second round, Nicholson hurt Gonzalez and forced referee John Latham to stop.

Super middleweight Neil Brown (16-0, 6 KOs) stopped Victor Ionaska (14-7, 10 KOs) at the end of the scheduled fourth round of six.

In the first round, Brown dropped Ionask. Judgment Steve Gray gave him an eight count. Fourth, Brown dropped Ionask for an additional eight counts from Judge Grey.

Heavyweight Leo Atan (1-0, 1 KO) knocked out Mirren Pawnov (7-16, 5 KOs) at 2:29 in the first round of the scheduled four rounds.

In the first round, he dropped Paunoff in the final minute, causing referee Steve Gray to halt.

Featherweight Alfie Middlemiss (4-0) defeated Mohammed Wako (1-6) with a four-round point decision.

In the first round, the middle miss was cut off by the left eye due to a head collision.

Judgment Steve Gray scored it 40-36.
