Brighton and Irish strikers “in great form” for an in-season loan to Rome
Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson joined Rome on loan for the 2025/26 season.

“Evan has had a challenging period in the past half seasons, but it was disrupted by injuries issues that didn’t allow him to play a series of games,” said Fabian Hazeler, Brighton’s manager.
“He has overcome those injuries and is back in great condition, and now he really wants to play regularly, which is an exciting opportunity with a strong league and European football outlook.
“We hope Evan well for the upcoming season and look closely at his progress.”

Why did Rome sign Evan Ferguson?

Ferguson moved on to West Ham’s struggles on loan in February, but did not contribute directly to his goals and completed only twice.
Hammers manager Graham Potter either put Ferguson out of the team or didn’t use him from the bench in six games on loan, playing 14 minutes in two appearances in the final eight games.
