Bruce Carrington’s next chapter: Targets for WBO champion Rafael Espinoza after a big victory

Bruce Carrington says he’s willing to compete with the WBO featherweight champion Raphael Espinoza Next. ‘Shu Shu’ Carrington (16-0, 9 KOS) believes Espinoza came to fight Mateus Haita last Saturday night and “sized” him and “sized” him for the fight. He is willing to face him next.

Bruce was afraid throughout his battle with Haita. He was sneaking up and was ravaged all night by powerful Namibian fighters. What was surprising was how strong he was.

Entering the battle, Carrington had a reputation for having many powers, but it was Heita who had a great advantage in the area. That’s one of the reasons Carrington ran from him all night. He was uncomfortable bumping into him.

Carrington won the WBC interim featherweight title at Madison Square Garden Theatre in New York City, beating Heita (14-1, 9 KOS) with a 12-round unanimous decision with scores of 119-109, 119-109 and 120-108.

Espinoza’s strategic view

“He’s come to my battle. I feel like you’re not just coming there to see. You’re coming there for caution. Yeah.” channeldiscusses WBO featherweight champion Raphael Espinoza, who appears in his battle with Mateus Haita at Madison Square Garden Theater last Saturday night.

Top Rank had to invite Espinoza to the battle. Is Top Rank wanting Rafael as a backup plan just in case Carrington can’t score a title shot against WBC featherweight champion Stephen Fulton?

They also promote Espinoza, and he has more potential to become a star than Carrington. He is a better fighter and has more power and talent. Top Rank can make Espinoza a bigger name if he gives him Carrington. It’s a wise move, as Carrington doesn’t seem to have the power needed to catch the belt.

“He’s trying to make me bigger and get attention. So I’m going to give you the attention you’re looking for. I really want to fight all these champions. “But I really long for action. I just love to fight.”

Espinoza: Dangerous opponent

He wouldn’t want to be in the ring with an even more dangerous man like Espinoza, as he had a look of terror in Carrington’s eyes through his battle with Mateus Haita last Saturday. Every move Bruce made against Haita showed how much he was afraid when fighting the puncher. Espinoza is like the Heita X 2. He becomes less obsessed with stalking Carrington around the ring.

“So if he’s here to see him fight me, I think he’s interested in fighting me, so let’s make that happen,” Carrington said of Rafael Espinoza. “This is all playing and waiting. We have a battle (date) scheduled for September. We don’t have an opponent yet. Let’s make it happen. Let’s do this.”

If Carrington showed his backbone and fought Espinoza in September, it’s worth praise. That’s not realistic as Espinoza ends what Mateus heita and Sulaiman Segawa started against him.

Carrington’s Bluff investigated

Carrington sounds like he’s bluffing. He never fought Espinoza after winning the interim WBC title. The promoter of top-ranked “Shushu” Carrington is fishing for WBC champion Stephen Fulton because he can’t punch and is less risky. Carrington did nothing for the interim belt.

“If he doesn’t, Stephen Fulton. Let’s make it happen. Provisional (WBC Featherweight) title. I have a Provisional title. We can make it happen. You have a regular belt.

Clearly, WBC 126-LB champion Stephen Fulton (23-1, 8 KOs) is Carrington’s actual target. If he hadn’t, he would have been ranked WBC and not in the direction of fighting for their interim title.

Carrington may have followed the WBO belt held by Espinoza. The fact that he didn’t tell you everything you need to know. Carrington didn’t want to entangle Espinoza for 6’1”. Because he is too dangerous. He destroyed his career in the same way as Robusy Ramirez.
