Can “Little GGG” Madrimov emulate Golovkin against Ortiz Jr.?

Israil Madrimov appears to be ready for the upcoming battle against WBC interim junior middleweight champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. on his final crescendo card in Riyadh on February 22nd. Former WBA 154-pound champion Madrimov (10-1-1, 7 KO) showed off his movements and quick combinations in the ring’s video clips.

Madrimov’s nasty style and mobility could fit Ortiz Jr. (22-0, 21 Kos), but he must stroll more willingly to get the decision victory in this fight yeah. Madrimov didn’t throw enough in the later rounds in his final fight with Terrence Crawford, and he defeated him with a 12th round unanimous decision.

“Little GGG” Factor

Israil had more youth, power, size and mobility benefits than Crawford. But in the end he lost because he didn’t throw enough punches late in the contest. Terrence was busy with rounds 9-12, but this was the difference.

nickname “Small Ggg” Madrimov has to fight like he is to beat Ortiz Jr. Madiamov has been fighting for a long time and should be able to improve his game when he notices a flaw. He didn’t adjust last time, but this might be a better style against Vergil Jr.

If Madrimov is able to imitate Genna Di Golovkin in this fight, he has the opportunity to win Ortiz Jr. knockout or knockdown. Fans believe Vergil Jr. should have lost the fight because he was overtaken. If that fight takes something out of Ortiz, Madrimov has the power of a single shot to put him on the deck and perhaps knock him out.
