Carlyle chooses insider for the newly created role of co-chairman after the remodel
(Reuters) – Alternative assets manager Carlisle said he re-adjusted his senior leadership ranking on Monday and appointed three veterans to the newly created co-chairman role.
Chief Financial Officer John Redette, Credit Head Mark Jenkins and Client Business Head Jeff Nedelmann will become the company’s co-chairman on January 1, 2026.
“These individuals, all Carlisle veterans, are proven leaders whose deep expertise and extensive experience drive our next stage of growth,” CEO Harvey Schwartz said in a statement.
Since Schwartz took the helm in 2023, Carlisle has undergone multi-year transformation to drive growth by re-aligning its leadership and realizing compensation models, expanding beyond its private equity roots.
The company said leadership appointments would strengthen its ability to operate on a large scale in a competitive environment.
In the newly created role, the trio is working closely with Schwartz to further collaborate with Carlisle’s growth ambitions, the company said.
In addition to his new role, Jenkins will lead the credit and insurance business, while Nedelman will continue to lead client businesses.
Redett not only leads Carlisle’s private equity business, but also oversees the company’s private equity and real asset business.
Justin Pruff, the current deputy chief investment officer of Carlisle’s credit business, will replace Redette next year as Carlisle’s financial boss, the company said.
Michael Wand, who oversees the company’s private equity business in Europe, will become head of EMEA investments and will work in conjunction with the company’s co-chairman.
Admiral James Stablidis, former commander of NATO and Vice-Chairman of Global Affairs at Carlisle, will become the company’s vice-chairman.
With $453 billion in assets under management, Carlisle deploys private capital across private equity, credit and its Alpinbes business.
Carlisle plans to report quarterly results next week. The stock jumped nearly 26% this year.
