Carmel Moton and Zakkin Moses give us a glimpse into the future


Like most sports, boxing is based on evolution, and as the next generation of talent begins to build upon its foundation, two young up-and-coming stars gave us a glimpse into the future as Carmel Moton and Zakkin Moses improvised showdowns.

Moton and Moses are two young, talented boxers currently in the first stages of their professional careers. They’ve already crossed amateur paths, but the future Moton vs. Moses clash could be a spectacular event.

Carmel Moton made his highly anticipated debut when he stopped Ezekiel Flores in the first round in September 2023. After two relatively easy knockout victories, Moton had a bit of circulating in the fight against Anthony Cuba, but he was still won by an unanimous decision.

The young genius remained active, creating four knockout streaks. On his recent trip within the squared circle, Moton managed to get some work as his match went fully eight rounds.

In the May 2025 match against Renee Mastrapa, Moton was extremely offensive as he advanced and determined the pace. Moton showed his punch arrangement and his strength as he cruised towards the victory of the unanimous decision.

Carmel Moton has eight victories and will not be defeated professionally. In his amateur career, Moton was the 18-time national champion with a perfect victory record, but his final amateur defeat came against a young man planting seeds for his professional career.

Zakin Moses, a native of New Jersey, New Jersey, made his professional debut in November 2024 when he received a unanimous decision victory over Michael Lewis. He continued to post second consecutive stop wins.

With his recent ring appearance, Zakin Moses showed off his speed, power and punch arrangement when he stopped Carl Rogers in the fourth round. Moses is slowly building a professional career, but recently he has encountered past rivals.

In March 2023, Zakin Moses faced Carmel Moton in the National Qualifying Amateur Match. Throughout the battle, Moton advanced aggressively while Moses effectively fought against his hind legs. At the end of the match, Zakin Moses was declared the winner.

Recently, 20-year-old Zaquin Moses (4-0, 3 Kos) and 19-year-old Curmel Moton (8-0, 6 Kos) ran over each other at the Junior Olympics. In the midst of a very harsh crowd, Moton and Moses faced off.

During the showdown, Carmel Moton cried out, “I’m stopping you! I’m stopping you!” Zaquin Moses said, “I’m going to f**k him! I’m going to f**k him!”

Curmel Moton and Zaquin Moses are two young, skilled boxers who have all the tools. Moton vs Moses Clash is a matchup that will happen in the future and will likely be one of the types of fights that someone’s 0 has to go.
