Kelse didn’t reach the 1,000-yard reception mark last season. He finished the regular season with 823 yards.
Kelse said he is worried about the future of his play after the 2025 season. In the meantime, he will continue to focus on trying to help the chieftain become his final team to stand next February.

“I won this contract for a year. I know that. I’ll try something for next year,” Kelse said. “The Chiefs organization knows how much I love. I can’t see myself playing elsewhere. We’ll deal with it in the future when time is right, but now we’re focused on winning this year’s championship.”
