Christian Mbili says he was surprised when Terence Crawford defeated Canelo Alvarez

Christian Mbili is defeating Terrence Crawford, who is leaning towards Canelo Alvarez in the battle in Las Vegas on September 13th. #1 WBC ranked 168 pound competitor Mbilli said he was “impressed” by Crawford’s final performance against Isler Madrimov, who rose from 147 to 154 last August.

Mbilli likes Canelo

Mbilli feels that Crawford has only a path to victory, and that is to win a boxing decision. In contrast, he believes Canelo (63-2-2, 39 KOs) can either “stop” him or win the decision. Alvarez has more winning options.

Crawford’s Madrimov battle “Unimpressive”

“I wasn’t very impressed with Crawford’s final battle (Isler Madrimov), and I wasn’t very impressed with Canelo’s battle (William Skull),” Mbilli said. Fighting the Hubtalking about Crawford and Canelo’s recent inactive performance.

“My favorite is Canelo because he’s big. I’ll see if Crawford uses the same strategy as Skull, but it’ll add more punches. But Canelo is bigger and weight makes a difference.”

We already know that Crawford is about to rent a game plan from Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Dmitry Biboll by banging and moving in all night. He has no power to stop him, so he cannot afford to stand in his pocket against Canelo.

Canelo blocks punches well and is an excellent counter puncher. All it takes is one good shot from him and Crawford will be as cold as he did when he fought the Mexican star.

Canelo can stop Crawford

“I don’t think Crawford (fighting like Skull) is the same. If Canelo Crawford fights the same thing, it’s going to be bad for boxing. He (Canero) can stop him,” Mbili said.

Crawford is paid too much from Turki Aralsif for him to fight just as William Skull fought Canelo. But that doesn’t mean he will be still in this fight. Because it could be acknowledging defeat. Crawford, 37, looked weak, old and vulnerable to Madrimov. He does not have a sturdy frame or young man to fight Canelo with the trench for the entire battle. Even the younger version of Crawford couldn’t fight Canelo that way because of his small height.

When asked if Crawford was shocked if he won, Mbili said.

There are many fans who believe Crawford can win because of what he’s done in the past in the 147, 140 and 135 pound weight divisions. They overlook Bad’s performance against Madrimov and dismiss it as a “bad style matchup,” but they cannot ignore how Crawford’s power was not brought to 147-154.
