Coca-Cola launches new products with real sugar in the US market this fall

Coca-Cola announced Tuesday that it plans to launch a new product made with real sugar this fall amid continuing pressure from the Trump administration to ensure the country’s food supply has cleaner ingredients.
“As part of the ongoing innovation agenda, in the US this fall, the company plans to expand its trademark Coca-Cola product range by launching offerings made with trademark sugar,” the company said in its second quarter revenue report. “This addition is designed to complement the company’s strong core portfolio, offering more options beyond opportunities and preferences.”
The announcement comes just days after the president Donald Trump On social media, the beverage giant said it had agreed to use “real” cane sugar from cola, sold in the US.
“I’ve been talking to Coca-Cola about using real cane sugar in American Cola, and they agreed to do so,” Trump wrote of the True Society. “I want to thank all those who have the authority of Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them – you’ll see. It’s just right!”
