Colombian presidential candidate Miguel Uribe was filmed during a campaign event

Media reports say the government and his campaign have said that Colombian senator and presidential candidate were shot and killed in Bogota on Saturday.

Miguel Uribe, 39, was holding a campaign event in the park when “armed subjects shot him in the back.”

There is no word on Uribe’s condition.

He is a member of the opposition Right-wing Democracy Centre Party, founded by former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.
