Connor Ben smacks Chris Eubank Jr. for a fight with welterweight: a hypocritical attack?

Connor Ben denounced Chris Eubank Jr. in his interview, fighting welterweight, not someone in the weight class at the 160 or 168.

Eubank Jr.’s massive battle pay

Obviously, Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 Kos) is fighting 28-year-old Ben for a huge salary. His wallet in his first fight with Connor is $12 million, and he is expected to earn a similar amount in the September 20 rematch. In 160, no one can fight someone popular enough for Eubank Jr. to get the same kind of fabric.

“Do I respect him so much? No. Why is he fighting welterweight? Don’t you fight your own weight against someone?” Connor Ben said. IFL TV About Chris Eubank Jr. “He’s scary. He’s more of a fantastic fight with the welterweight that he thought would be an easy fight. Imagine fighting against light weight. ”

Ben’s Hypocrisy: Tank Davis Callout

Connor Ben forgets that he called the lightweight Gervonta Davis in early 2024 after a victory over Peter Dobson. He wanted a fight against the smaller WBA 135-pounder Davis. He becomes a hypocrite as Connor destroys Eubank Jr. to fight welterweight. Ben can’t compete with the two divisions below him, but not Eubank Jr.

In reality, neither fighter has the talent to fight the top dogs in their respective weight classes. Eubank Jr. cannot compete with the Top 160 and 168 pound guns. You can’t put him along with Janibek Alimkhanuly, Erislandy Lara, Carlos Adames, or Canelo Alvarez and expect him to win. He is at the national level. Eubank Jr. and Benn are two spoiled children of the talented former world champions. In a nutshell, that’s all.

Ben can’t compete without knocking out top welterweights like Brian Norman Jr., Shakram Zyasov and Aymantas Stanionis. Certainly those fighters would do a better job of defeating Conor than the 35-year-old Eubank Jr. Eubank Jr. is not a true top 15 fighter.

Weight Cut Hell: Eubank Jr. Rehydration Clause

“He’s an idiot who takes 13 weeks to prepare for welterweight and I’m ready to fight him this weekend.”

Eubank Jr. needs time to lose weight as he has to create a 160 pound limit and drain it to deal with the brutal 10 pound rehydration clause he has never agreed to in the first place. It was a stupidity on his part to accept it as part of the contract.
