Corey Booker is taking advantage of his record 25 hours of Senate floor speech in a new book called “The Stand.”

The “Stand” was released on November 11th, and the St. Martin’s Press was announced on Wednesday. In April, New Jersey Democrats made the headline by offering the nation’s longest continuous Senate floor speech, just over 25 hours. Booker, 56, spoke against numerous Trump administration policies, whether he wants to make Canada a part of the United States or a desire to cut social security offices.
“This book is about virtues essential to national success and lessons that can be drawn from the generation of Americans who fought for them,” Booker said in a statement.
Booker’s speech broke records recorded by Senator Strom Thurmond of South Carolina.ProgressIt was eventually passed of the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
Booker has taken the help of a fellow Democrat who gave him a break from speaking by questioning him on the Senate floor.
