Couple killed in Devil Den State Park while hiking with daughter

An emergency manhunt is ongoing after husband and wife are killed Arkansas State Park Police say they were on a hike with their two young girls over the weekend.

The Arkansas State Police (ASP) was notified of a double murder at Devilsden State Park near the northwest corner of the state at about 2:40pm on Saturday. Clinton Brink (43) and 41-year-old Christan Brink have been discovered I died on the walking trailaccording to a press release.

Their young daughters, ages 9 and 7, have not been injured and are now safe with their family, police said.

The brink is new to the region, with press release notes recently moving from another state to Prairie League Robe.

It is unknown how the brink was killed.

The ASP has released an explanation of the suspect. Caucasian man with a medium build, wearing a long sleeve shirt with rounded sleeves, dark pants, dark ball cap, sunglasses and fingerless gloves. He was also carrying a black backpack, police said.

The suspect was also seen driving towards the park exit in a black four-door sedan. It’s probably a Mazda with tape covering the license plate. The vehicle could have been travelling on either the state’s Route 170 or 220, police said.

Police described the park as “sturdy terrain, thick vegetation, no cell phone service” and “a far-off rural area.”

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place at Devilsden State Park,” said Cia Lewis, secretary to the Arkansas Park Service’s Department of Heritage.

Lewis also pointed to an increase in the presence of law enforcement across state parks in the natural state.

Investigators are also asking people who visited the park on Saturday to check out the photos and videos they took for images of the suspect.

The ASP did not immediately return a request for Fox News Digital’s comment.
