Cricket Wireless debuts prepaid plans starting at $35
Cricket Wireless has revamped it Prepaid plan Trim prices to offer more perks, including hotspot data and bundled extras like streaming services.
Cricket owned by AT&T competes Prepaid Providers From other carriers such as Visible from Verizon, Mint Mobile from T-Mobile and Dish’s Boost Mobile. Cricket reduced its offerings to four plans (from five), and reduced prices to all of them.
The cheapest plan for Cricket, called Sensible 10GB, is $30 per month when set up with Autopay (or normally $35), offering 5G service with 10GB of monthly data (up from 5GB previously), then drops to 128kbps. As a basic plan, there is no option to add fancy options such as Hotspot data, cloud storage, or bundled streaming services. It is also not available in Mexico or Canada like Plyceier Plans.
Select Unlimited, the mobile company’s cheapest unlimited 5G plan, costs $35 a month on Autopay (or usually $40), saving you $5 on your previous plan. Also, although there are no extras, you can add hotspot data. This is an estimated family value plan, as it can contain four rows at $100 per month.
Those looking for extras can opt for the 5G Smart Unlimited plan for $45 a month on Autopay (or usually $50). This is a larger upgrade with older versions of the same plan. Not only does it cost $10 a month, it also offers 15GB of hotspot data and 100GB of cloud storage (up from 2GB). The plan can be used in Mexico and Canada, and text messages can be used to friends from more than 200 countries and territories.
The middle plan comes with an unlimited selection of Smart Unlimited and a warning that cricket may temporarily slow down data speeds if the network is busy.
Cricket’s most expensive, unlimited 5G plan, Supreme Unlimited, costs $55 per month for Autopay (or normally $60), which is $5 cheaper than previous versions. It is aimed at mobile power users with 50GB of hotspot data (previously increased from 15GB), 150GB of cloud storage, and HBO MAX BASIC on ADS, for use in Mexico and Canada, and text messages to friends internationally.
Note that all plans for cricket have video streaming of SD (approximately 480p) below HD (1080p) which is standard in most other plans.
Cricket’s new plan includes monthly price taxes and fees. Careers such as T-Mobile I started splitting them.
The price drop in cricket follows a similar move made by prepaid mobile providers from other carriers.
