Jalen Green and Fred Vanvleet shot a 34-7 total, scoring a total of 17 points for Houston.
The Rockets were given early energy behind Sengun, who had eight points and six rebounds in the first quarter. Houston led 19-12, with Tali Eason turning the stolen into a fast dunk with 3:20 minutes remaining, but Curry manipulated a short run to close the gap.
Curry followed an assist to Butler on a drive that pulled the Warriors within 21-18 in the second quarter. Butler then fed the Warriors their first lead 24-23 on a free throw at the 9:16 mark in the second quarter, before Golden State seized their first double-digit advantage by closing out an 11-0 run with a curry reverse layup at 6:08 in the first half.
The Rockets temporarily held the tide down and pulled within four points, but the Warriors managed to close the half with a 9-0 burst with 3-pointers of two curry and a 3-pointer from Butler. Meanwhile, the Rockets missed their final five shots and committed two turnovers during that stretch, filming six-eighth in the second season before entering a break chasing 47-34.
