Darius Rucker issues a refund after abruptly shortening the concert

Darius Rucker After losing his voice midway through the performance, he ended his concert in New Jersey abruptly.

On Saturday, the 59-year-old country music star suddenly stopped after performing several songs at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, telling the crowd that he couldn’t continue the show.

“Yeah, I can’t sing anymore,” the Footie and Blowfish frontman said in a fan video. Philadelphia Barb.

He continued, “I’m going to play another song. I promise you, we’re going to understand this. You’re going to get your money back.”

“I can’t sing. I’ve never done this before,” Rucker added. “This never happened. I can’t physically sing.

Rucker continued to play his hit 2013 “Wagon Wheel” as the crowd sang. Musician He then apologized to the audience before leaving the stage.

“I promise you to make up for this,” he said. “I promise you, we understand this, and I am very sorry. I am very sorry.”

On Sunday, Rucker shared the update in a post on his Instagram Story. The singer again closed the concert early and apologised for letting the participants know they would receive a full refund.

“Thank you for coming out on Saturday night,” Rucker wrote to the Philadelphia Barbs. “I feel bad and sorry. I’ve never lost my voice in years.”

“We have looked into all the options to change the schedule, but unfortunately it’s not possible this year, so we’re issuing a full refund.” Grammy Awards Winners have been added.

“I hope you very much for me and please give me your kind message. I love everything and see you soon!”

Rucker representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Last Saturday’s show was Rucker’s third ongoing stop 45-day international tour. The tour began on July 10th at the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons, Maryland.

Rucker will perform at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Resort in Hollywood, Florida on Saturday, July 19th. No changes to the tour schedule posted on Rucker’s website have been made as of Wednesday afternoon.

The US leg of Rucker’s tour continues until September before lockers head across the pond for several shows in the UK. In October, Rucker performed at two concerts in his home state in South Carolina, before continuing to tour with shows in Canada. The tour ends on December 13th at the Ritz-Carlton Resort in Naples, Florida.

In October 2023, Rucker released his seventh solo studio album, “Carolyn’s Boy.” Hootie & The Blowfish’s sixth studio album, “Imperfect Circle,” debuted in November 2019.

In June, Rucker confirmed that he was working on new music and was inspired by his move to London earlier this year.

“I’m working on my album. I’m sure my single will be coming out here soon, you know, and I’m ready to hear it,” Rucker said. People Magazine. “I’m looking forward to completing my record and revealing it. I think it’s refreshing, it’s new. I think my fans will be really, really excited.”

“I went to London to get another taste,” he added. “And I think I did that. I think people like what we did.”

After Rucker’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony in 2023, the acclaimed musician exclusively on Fox News Digital, felt that he still didn’t feel that he had reached the pinnacle of his career.
