Davis stops Belinchik and targets Roma and Tank
Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KOS) wasted his moment in his spotlight on Friday night. Two champions who don’t fight him, Gervonta Davis and Vasily Lomachenko, are WBO lightweight champions Denys Berinchyk (19-1, 9 Kos at Madison Square Garden Theatre in New York City).

Keyshawn is not going to get those fighters for three reasons.
- Too big for the 135 pound division: keyshawn weight bullly tactics
- Not Popular: No Name on Keyshaun’s resume
- He was hoping to become an A-Side. It doesn’t fly
Is size his only skill?
What the whole world saw tonight was that Keyshaun entered the ring as a middleweight and used the advantages of that size over the normal sized lightweight Belinchik to defeat him. If boxing acted together, Davis would not have been allowed to enter the ring, which is much larger than Belinchik. Tonight there should have been a hydration rule with weight checks to ensure the fight was fair.
As long as they compete with other middleweights rather than fighting light weight, there’s no problem with fighters who want balloons up to 160. Tank Davis and Lomachenko are not going to fight the lightweight size of Keyshawn Davis. That’s not happening. So if he insists on facing light weight, he would have to fight someone a little more realistic, like one of these fighters:
– Andycrus
– Edwin de los Santos
– Ernesto Mercado
– Raymond Muratara
– Shakur Stevenson
– Abdullah Mason
– Frank Martin
These fighters may not be able to give Keyshaun the payday he is looking for, but at least he can get some reliable names on his resume. He has not yet fought with anyone who has had the opportunity to be him.
Some of them would be willing to fight Keyshaun as long as it makes sense, but I doubt he will fight any of those guys.
“People who have the (courage) to fight me. There are two 135 split champions I want to fight. If they are brave enough to step into the ring with the ‘businessmen’ , tell them to send a contract, or I’ll send it to them,” Keyshawn Davis said.
