249 years ago, 56 men met Pennsylvania Legislature In Philadelphia, you commit treason against the most powerful empire on the planet.
On behalf of the 13 colonies of that empire, these men – landowners, entrepreneurs, politicians and more, became engrossed in a set of new ideas flowing from enlightenment thinkers and enlightenment thinkers. Christian teachings. These beliefs led them to start a war. I couldn’t believe that a sane person could win.
Remember what the government looked like back then. We currently live in a world created by 56 men. This hides itself in the language of “republic” even in dictatorships like North Korea.

However, in 1776, freedom, equality and autonomy were early concepts supported by philosophers and were incompletely adopted in a few small enclaves. The majority of the world’s countries were genetic monarchies and empires where equal rights and individual freedom were not considered. The founder’s battle seemed incomprehensible.
In starting it, the Second Continental Congress mainly appointed one man – Thomas Jefferson – By clarifying their vision for humanity and this new nation and drafting documents that reconstruct history.
Imagine how he must have felt. Jefferson isolated himself in a rental property on Market Street from June 11th to June 28th to draft documents. He was 33 at the time. Isolated on that rental townhome, he drafted what I consider to be one of the most beautiful passages in history.
We are self-evident about these truths, that all men are created equally, and that they are given certain undeniable rights to their Creator, and that among them is the pursuit of life, freedom, and happiness.
The Second Continental Congress appointed Thomas Jefferson, a man primarily – a document that clarified their vision for mankind and this new nation, and drafted a document reconstructing history.
Please read it again. Read it as if you live under the iron fist of the Spanish colonies of South America or the Qing Dynasty of China. Read it as if you were a poor tenant farmer under the oppressive rules of King George of Virginia, or under the enslaved figure of Georgia (freedom under that freedom Principles of Declaration It was still decades away).

Read it as if you were raised in a system that assumes that thanks to your social stations you are less valuable than your neighbors and that your future is limited by your birth situation.
The declaration was, in fact, a “revolutionary” statement that clarified the ideological and de facto basis for the coup against the empire. But spiritually, it was even more important than that.
That was A revolution in history. It was a revolution to the idea that some men (and women) are more valuable than others. It was a revolution in the idea of dignity, human rights and equality before the law.

And they ignited a war in the American colonies when Jefferson submitted his documents to Congress, and 56 men signed it and shipped it to King George and other rulers around the world.

The war they got. Five signatories were captured, tortured and killed. Nine people died of wounds and difficulties fighting in the war. Everything was affected – ravaged by violence, their homes, their property, their children thrust into the violence they created. They were hungry. They lost the fight.
They must have been wondering if it was worth it. These ideals have forced the people into violence. And, unexpectedly, they won.
In America’s creation, they Founding of a father A change of history. We currently live in a world where almost half of the countries are democratic. The combination of political freedom, the free market, and the innovation unlocked by these systems has drawn billions of people out of poverty.

The globally dominant ideology is now articulated in the declaration. And the American revolution has become a revolution in human history.
This weekend in the US Celebrating Independence Day. We celebrate 56 men who put everything at risk. However, we also reflect strictly on the declaration and the accusations of its authors.
All people are created equally. We are all given an intransitable right to our Creator. Each of us deserves our ability to pursue our own unique path to life, freedom and prosperity. However, these non-transferable rights are not guaranteed. As our ancestors, we are called to embrace and fight for them.

Abraham Lincoln once said that the great man “has thirst and burning for distinction” and that at the expense of “freeing the slave or enslaving the free man.” And around the world, the powers against freedom, dignity and opportunity fight constantly to rule others.
Fight back on this day of independence. May we have the boldness and belief to oppose the enemy of freedom and continue to fight for the proclamation and the promise of America’s spiritual foundation. May we do so from love – with our neighbors Creator’s Blessing. And may we gain courage from 56 men, hundreds of thousands of fellow nations, and the examples of unwinnable wars they have acquired.
