Delta’s Toronto Crush: CEO Statement

Delta CEO Ed Bastian He spoke on his LinkedIn following the crash of a plane at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday.
“The hearts of the entire Global Delta Family are with those affected by today’s incident at Toronto Pearson International Airport. In the meantime, be careful and stay safe,” he wrote about the platform, business, business and aviation issues he operates. Bastian became the CEO of the airline in 2016.
The crash of a plane, including a Delta Air Lines CRJ-900 jet, departing from Minneapolis, was first reported by CTV. The flight was identified as a Delta 4819 and operated by an effortless air, carrying 80 people, all considered.
The incident is the latest in a series of aviation accidents this year, including a Black Hawk Army helicopter in Washington, DC and American Airlines’ Collison, killing all 64 passengers and military crews. This was followed by a civilian medical flight that crashed back to Mexico in Philadelphia, killing seven people on the ground and countless individuals.

The incident was reported at 2:45pm local time. Photos from the scene show the plane turned upside down and broken on a snowy runway.

At least 15 people were injured, some were treated at local hospitals.

The US stock market was closed in compliance with President’s Day. Delta Stocks Trading resumed on Tuesday, with an increase of over 10% this year.
