Former Texas Rep. Colin Allred is taking another run for the US Senate after the Democrats lost to a Republican senator. Ted Cross Just 8 months ago.
Allred is looking to challenge the Republican seat the. John Corneyfaces his own challenge from within the Republican Party from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Allred announced his return to political arena in a campaign video released Tuesday. There, he took shots with both Cornyn and Paxton, explaining that he was “too corrupt to care for us and too weak to fight for us.”
Former NFL linebacker and lawyer Allred spoke about undrafted ways in the NFL, but eventually worked enough to turn the pros and buy his mother home.

“The truth is, you don’t need to have a son in the NFL to own a home,” Allred said.
“It’s all turned out the other way around,” he continued. “It seems like people who play with the rules and maintain their faith cannot move on. But people who cut corners and cut deals – well, they’re doing well.”
Allred has pledged to carry out the “anti-corruption plan.”

“I know Washington is broken,” he said. “The system is equipped, but there’s no need to do this. For six years in Congress, I have never taken corporate pack money and did not trade a single stock.”
The Allred announcement comes just eight months after losing nearly nine percent points to Cruz. That race was one of the most expensive in the country in its final cycle. Democrat spending More than $130 million is about to lift the cruise.

Allred played four seasons in the NFL. Tennessee TitanAfter being drafted by Baylor University. He turned Dallas’ Republican district overturned and entered Congress in 2018.
